Updated to conform to latest Octave (tested with 2.1.49).
- the pathsearch library was merged into liboctave last year
- static_cast no longer seems to work between Matrix and ColumnVector check-in: d76c0d8ac5 user: geraint@users.sourceforge.net tags: origin/master, trunk
