For real-time-ish audio playback ((and UI responsiveness ?)) one factor that comes into play is the "quantum", the amount of time between successive schedulings of a given thread. Genode might not have the same quantum and RT features as a Real-time OS ; but it appears there is a "quantum" setting, defaulting to 10'000 microseconds, looking at screenshots in this article: http://genodians.org/alex-ab/2020-03-18-sculpt-affinity
