When <em>trfac</em> is on, a narrative trace of any calls to the factorizer is
generated. Default is <em>off</em>.

When the switch
<A HREF=r37_0287.html>factor</A> is on, and <em>trfac</em> is on, every input
polynomial is sent to the factorizer, and a trace generated. With
<em>factor</em> off, only polynomials that are explicitly factored with the
command
<A HREF=r37_0151.html>factorize</A> generate trace information.

<A HREF=r37_0233.html>out</A> command saves the results of the factoring, but no
t
the trace. The
<A HREF=r37_0334.html>trallfac</A> switch gives trace information to a
greater level of detail.
