Arcades is also a response the over usage of web technology in the software world today. Web technologies often brand compiled languages as messy and too complicated. While the languages may be messy, complicated is a matter of subjectivity. In fact many web technologies can be much more complex than compiling a simple C++ application. Written as an attempt to learn more about the compiled and typed world, an exercise to break free of web development stigma, and an exercise on investing in oneself.
