MKBase creates a minimal Linux system with the most basic toolset to install or build pkgsrc packages. It has support for profiles for building different types of systems. The system is based on CLFS Embedded, so it uses musl libc, busybox, zlib and the bootscripts from CLFS with minor modifications. It also features utilities for handling binary pkgsrc packages and has libressl built-in. For the toolchain, gcc and binutils are used.
