&lt;square\_size&gt; :- a positive integer. 
<P>

&lt;expr&gt; :- an algebraic expression. 
<P>
<P>
<em>hilbert</em>computes the square hilbert matrix of dimension 
&lt;square\_size&gt;. 
<P>
<P>
This is the symmetric matrix in which the (i,j)'th entry is 
1/(i+j-&lt;expr&gt;).
