Update: We have chosen to go with the comparison of 5 databases
Project Ideas for posterity
1.comparison between roughly 5 databases in terms of durability, etc - hardware constraints?
2.work on critical issues of an existing open-source database (HyperGraphDB, Neo4j, etc) 3. distributed hash table
4.Graph database expressiveness --- examine the queries that can be made on a large data set like twitter.. Possibly define a new algorithm for oppressing on a graph.
