The current usage of fossil-update.sh is to run it as sudo.
sudo ./fossil-update.sh
Assuming that you have fossil-scm installed, this will clone the fossil repository, build the latest trunk, install it to /opt/fossil/fossil, rebuilds all of your fossil repositories, and delete all of the files and directories that it created.
